God’s Love Brings Security, Safety, and Confidence

Imagine, if you can, a time in your life when you really felt secure in someone's love for you. Maybe a spouse’s love, maybe a parent's love. Remember how good it felt and how well you could sleep at night, knowing all was well between you and them? Remember the safe, secure and confident feeling that it produced in you? Let's think on that a little bit.
Imagine what your life would be like if you really understood and experienced God's love for you.
What if you knew that whatever you did your Father was not going to get mad at you? But, instead, when you made a mistake, He would take you in His arms and comfort you, that He would teach you and encourage you.
Imagine if you really understood how well and intimately your Father knows you.
Knowing that He's looking out for you, keeping you away from dangerous things, places, people that would bring hurt to your life. See, because your Father loves you so much...He hates to see you get hurt.
And it doesn’t stop there!
He knows how you think. He knows what makes you laugh. He knows what makes you sad. God’s Word describes how well He knows you. It says, “...you perceive my thoughts from afar...you are familiar with all my ways.” Psalm 139:2b,3b (NIV)
God knows you. He knows the way you are and He loves you the way you are!
Imagine the confidence you would have with people, the confidence you would have to live life...if you really knew and believed what God says about you!
“We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in Him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence...” 1 John 4:16-17a (NAS)
Our loving Father wants all of His children to live in the safety and confidence that only His love provides.
It's the kind of love you've always wanted and you won't find it anywhere else. Not in any possession, not in any experience, and not in any person.
Friends, your Heavenly Father longs for you to experience His love! The key is in the verse we just read. Do you believe the love that God has for you?
Don’t just know His love intellectually, but live out of His love! Believe it to be true in the very core of your being.
